J. Scott Klein, President: After working in the family insurance business, Scott obtained a masters degree in hotel administration from Cornell University. In 1991 he founded the KIS hotel program, combining that knowledge with years of insurance experience. Scott is a hands-on President and is involved in all aspects of the program and agency management.
Patt Alford, Vice President KIS Inc; Managing Director KIS PG Umbrella Programs: Patt has been with KIS since 1993 and brings a wealth of insurance agency experience. She holds a certificate in management from the AMA. Patt is your point of contact for all our habitational and restaurant umbrella programs and provides our brokers with the unsurpassed service that is our trademark. Patt heads up our Florida office.
Jonathan Klein, Secretary/Treasurer: Jonathan Klein CPCU has had a distinguished career in retail insurance brokerage, having owned an agency for 20 years. He served the CPCU society as president of the NJ chapter and as national Public Relations committee chair, and was as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Insurance in New York. At KIS Jon is responsible for national marketing of our hotel program.
Suzanne Slavin, Underwriting Manager: Suzanne rejoined KIS in October 2007 after working at AIG where she was an underwriter specializing in excess casualty. Suzanne has a diversified financial services background. She holds a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist Designation and has a masters Degree in Accounting. With her strong underwriting skills, Suzanne works closely with Scott underwriting and selling our hotel programs.
Bernadette Colon, Underwriting Assistant: Bernadette joined KIS in 2001, and is a licensed CSR. Bernadette assists Suzanne with underwriting, servicing and issuing policies and endorsements.
Jane Bushnell, Underwriting Assistant: Jane has been in the underwriting businees since 1980 on both the company and agency sides. Her experience covers a wide range of industries. She holds a FL Agents Property & Casualty license. Jane works with Patt in our Florida office.
Carolyn McMahon, Claims and Loss Control Manager: Carolyn has worked in the insurance industry for more than 25 years, and at KIS for over the last 10. Caroyln orders inspections and follows-up on recommendations. She is your point of contact for reporting claims.
Debra Carey, Clerical Assistant: Debra has worked in the insurance industry for more than 15 years. She recently joined KIS. Debra works with Patt in our Florida office.
